A Blast In My Country (Again)

There was a terrible, embarrassing, and devastating twin explosions in Jakarta, Indonesia in Friday morning July 17,2009. The bomb attack location were in J.W. Marriott Hotel and The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Kuningan Jakarta. The first blast occurred in J.W Marriott Hotel at 07.50 about 2 minutes later the second one occurred in The Ritz Carlton Hotel. About nine people were reported dead (Including Mr. Timothy Mackay the President of Holcim Indonesia from New Zealand) and more than fifty people injured.

Police indicated that the bombers were posing as hotel's guest (JW Marriott's guest). They took the reservation for three days (check in July 15 to July 17) and they paid in cash. In the 3rd day they decided to execute the suicide attack. I think it's a suicide attack, because the Police found a dead body without head it indicated a suicide action.

CCTV Video in J.W. Marriott Hotel before the blast

Imagine this, the bombers are suspected made and built the bomb inside their hotel room (room 1808 JW Marriott's Hotel). The first bomber carried the bomb to the restaurant of JW Marriott Hotel and the second one carried the bomb to Ritz Carlton Hotel on foot and blow it near the Ritz Carlton restaurant. Why the restaurant ? It obvious, it's the most crowded place in the Hotel that morning. Many hotel guests were having their breakfast there and there were a breakfast meeting that held by a consultant company which invited 15 Top CEOs of mining companies (Including Mr. Timothy Mackay from Holcim). I still wondering, how the bombers could escape from the Hotel high level security ? Didn't they suspect something suspicious ?

Urrghh...This was absolutely stupid and embarrassing action that did by a bunch of radical and stupid people...ooh I don't know what to say ! I feel really awful. It's so embarrassing for my country.

In fact, The Manchester United FC is planned to stay in Ritz Carlton Hotel for a friendly match game with my national football team. We have arranged this match for about one year. I think it more than that (not mention the deals with MU, the commercials, etc) and now the match is canceled. No matter how we have tried to negotiate with the MU club, they still refuse to play the friendly match. Yeah..what can I say, blame the stupid terrorist.

It's not about religion or faith, many young people across religion in my country are mad about this bombing. We love MU and football very much, more of it we love the sportivity, the fun, and our country. So please, stop the radical attack anymore, it's useless and stupid.

My deep sympathy, pray, and condolences to all the victims. God Bless Indonesia.
