What Caused Bad Breath?

Bad Breath can be embarrassing and annoying. It will disturb your social life. Bad breath also a common problem to many people. It is mostly caused by the kind of food we eat, our dental hygiene habits and sometime it caused by diseases like gum disease or intestine infection.

According to the western literature :
What caused bad breath or Halitosis,
1. From inside the mouth
The hygienic condition of mouth and teeth 
Type of food we consume
Diseases : in the mouth, gum, and teeth

2. It can be caused by more serious problem like systemic diseases such as kidney disease, liver cirrhosis, diabetes mellitus, pulmonary tuberculosis.
Or disease from the digestive system.


According to the eastern literature

Bad Breath problem associated with the element of "hot stomach", "Blood clot", fatigue and etc.
Gas in the mouth is the evaporation of "heat" from internal organs.

"Heat" can be derived from:

1. "Heat" that evaporates into the mouth from the stomach

1. Drink plenty of water

Drinking water and gargle is the simplest thing to neutralize bad breath caused by food and beverage. So, be sure to drink at least eight cups of water a day.

2. Chew sugarless gum
Chewing Sugarless gum could destroy food and dead cells in the mouth, and their production of saliva. Experts say that chewing gum is very effective against bad breath because it inhibits the growth of bacteria in the mouth.

3. Consume fruits and vegetables containing vitamin C
Lemons, green peppers, and broccoli contain a lot of vitamin c. These foods can eliminate the bacteria causing the smell and bad taste in the mouth. More effective when eaten raw because of the abrasive material and helps to remove dirt.

4. Yogurt
Japanese researchers found that sugar-free yogurt that is consumed three times a day for six weeks can reduce bad breath. How it works by reducing levels of sulfate compounds. can eliminate the bacteria causing odor and bad taste in the mouth. More effective when eaten raw because of the abrasive material and helps to remove dirt.

5. Baking Soda
Gargling with baking soda and warm water is another way to control your bad breath. Mix baking soda with a cup of warm water and gargle for about 30 minutes. This will help you get rid of your stinky breath.

6. Another easy and healthy remedy is to make a mouthwash with cloves, cinnamon, anise seed and rosemary. The mixture is steeped in water for a week, then strained and used as desired.

7. Some people in my country just chewing fresh parsley and bay leaves.
