Nine Simple Ways To Make a Child Smarter

Updated on April 19, 2017

Smart kid can be a spelled out a gift that was given. But the factors that affect the brain of a child is also defined by their environment.

There are many things that can make a child smarter (beside the addition to the study in the school), there are also some ways you can do to make children become smarter.

1. Playing Some Brainy Games
Chess, cross words, and sudoku are fun and educative games that could stimulate a child's brain. Not only give entertaining times for them, but also train the strategic thinking to the child, like how to solve a problem and make a complex decision.

2. Playing Music
Some say that listening to music specially classic one and Mozart's could stimulate a child's brain developing. Playing music can also stimulate the growth of the right brain. According to a study at the University of Toronto, music lessons could provide benefits in improving children' IQ and academic performance. The longer the time used to play music the greater the effect that is produced by it. A child who loves music usually a smart one. You can try violin or piano course for best result.

3. Giving a Breastfeeding
Breast milk is a most primary brain food for a child. Researchers continue to consistently show the various benefits of breastfeeding in the connection with the growth of the baby. Children who consume the exclusive six months breastfeeding have a level of ingenuity higher compared with children who are breastfed less than six months or have not get the breasfeeding.

4. Do Some Sports
The Researches in Illinois University show a connection between fitness and academic grades with children at a primary school. The more fitness the children, the higher their academic grades. Children need to get involved in any kind of sport but we have to adjust the sport with their interest.

5. Avoid Fast Food
Reduce sugar, trans fat out of dishes and replace it with high nutritious food is good for the development of early childhood mental and motor function in the development of children at the age of 1-2 years. For example children need iron for healthy brain development network, children with lack of iron will be slow in receiving the stimulus. I know it's hard to ask children to consume nutritious food, but we can make a few tricks like chops the vegetables in little pieces and mix them together with meat, flour, eggs, some herbs become a delicious meat ball that kid would love it and etc.

6. Developing Curiosity

Experts say parents who want to show a sense of curiosity will encourage the children to find their new ideas, so it stimulates children to think. Teach children new skills and education outside the home can also develop a child's curiosity and intellectuality.
Don't be worry with dirt, let them play with mud or searching insects in the field freely.

7. Reading
Reading is an easy way to improve learning and cognitive development of children of all ages. Like reading a bed-time story for them and give children a gift book that can attract their attention. Reading a book with loud voice can stimulate their brain development too.

8. Teach Them Self Confidence
Parents should increase the children' enthusiasm and optimism. Participate in team sports or social activities will help improve the children' self-confidence among their friends.

9. Prepare a Healthy Breakfast
Consuming a healthy breakfast will increase memory and concentration in children's learning. Children who are not used to have breakfast tend to be emotional and uneasy to concentrate on learning time, while the children who used to have one will stay focus and keep moving during the school hours. You can prepare high fiber and protein for breakfast, like eggs with oats.

Anyway I think every single child is talented and smart. They have their own gift and uniqueness and they are actually a blessing. What is the world will be without a child ? Have you notice a child laughs ? You feel you will laugh along with them, true.
