Dr. Mikao Usui

That is a quotation from Dr. Mikao Usui. Who is Dr. Mikao Usui ? He is a Japanese man that discovered reiki in 1922. He discovered it after 21 day retreat on Mount Kurama or Kurama Yama the mountain in North West of Kyoto, after involving in meditation, fasting, and prayer.

Mikao Usui said he had gained the reiki's knowledge by mystical revelation and he had to apply that spiritual power to other people. The power is called Reiki.

What is Reiki

Reiki is pronounced Ray Key is a way or method of natural healing based on energy or ki or chi. Reiki means Universal Life Force Energy. This is a kind of energy healing that involves direct application of chi for the purpose of strengthening the patient's energy system (aura).

Reiki is unique because it includes elements of every other alternative healing process like auras, chakra balancing, crystals, meditation, aromatherapy, naturophaty, and homeopathy. This type of healing is good for stress reduction and relaxation.

Basically, Reiki works through the life force. if our life force is affected by negative force, it will diminish the function of one or more organs and tissues of the physical body. Because life force nourishes the organs and body's cells and supporting the vital functions of organs.

You may see the Reiki's practitioner transfer the energy to the patient, in order to enhance the patient's body's natural ability to heal itself through energy balancing. it's a holistic and natural energy healing system that influence the body, mind, and spirit.

Reiki is not a religion and it has no dogma just a spiritual technique in alternative healing. And it's quite simple to learn. Some Reiki students say they just receive the energy from the Reiki Master and allows the students to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve their health and enhance the quality of life.

Reiki is not depend on intellectual capacity and is available for everyone off all ages and background.

How a patient receive the Reiki healing

A practitioner places his or her hands upon the patient to be healed with the intent for healing to occur, and then the energy begins flowing. The Reiki energy is smart since the Universe is a very smart place indeed. The energy knows where to go, and what to do once it gets there, or else is being directed by a higher intelligence.

The energy manages its own flow to and within the recipient. It draws through the healer exactly that amount of energy which the recipient needs. All this happens without direct conscious intervention by the healer.  The healers job is to get out of the way, to keep the healing space open, and to watch/listen for signs of what to do next.
